Information ZIKORY handles
ZIKORY holds your account and profile details, capsule titles and text, photos, voice recordings and videos, and — only if you add them — object details, recipient details, and a location.
Private media
Your media is stored outside the public website directory and served only through signed links that expire within minutes. Original filenames are never used as public identifiers.
Location choices
ZIKORY never saves a location just because a photo carries GPS data. It may suggest one, but nothing is stored until you choose to add it — and you decide whether it is saved exactly, approximately, or not at all.
Secure memory links
Public Zikory URLs contain high-entropy random tokens rather than sequential IDs or a Zikory UUID. Only a cryptographic hash of the token is stored. A link can be revoked or rotated, and locked content is not released before its server-verified time.
Security and operational data
ZIKORY rate-limits public requests to reduce abuse. Links that carry credentials are kept out of the web server's access logs, identifiers used for rate limiting are hashed before they are stored, and tokens are never written to application logs.
Deletion and retention
Deleting a Zikory removes it immediately and permanently: its text, photos, voice recordings, videos, cover image and share links are all erased, and the link stops working at once. There is no recovery period. Backups may follow a separate operational schedule.
Changes to this notice
This notice may change as ZIKORY moves from its current foundation into a generally available service. Material changes will be reflected by a new date on this page.
